How a free app is looking to educate millions from their mobiles

By the Silicon Republic

Last year, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) launched the Educate All initiative in collaboration with a global Edtech- EdApp to provide free training to anyone around the world.

EdApp integrates authoring, spaced repetition, and gamification to deliver microlearning content.

In this blog, UNITAR’s Nikhil Seth and EdApp’s Darren Winterford speak of the value of accessible, free mobile-based learning.

UNITAR and EdApp are inviting companies, not-for-profit organizations, and thought leaders to make contributions to the content library.

“By twinning our content with this practical platform for reaching people in the millions, we are able to democratise and increase access to free, high-quality adult education for individuals or institutions or small businesses, especially in the developing world” - Nikhil Seth, Executive Director of UNITAR
